Fair Use Policy for the Mailing Service

Last updated: Jul 19, 2026

1. Overview

This policy covers the mailing service at your address with us. It sets how much mail your service includes, what we can scan, which packages we accept, and how long we keep your mail. These limits keep the service fair for every client.

2. Mail volume

Your mailing service includes up to 30 pieces of mail per month, or up to 360 pieces per year if you pay yearly. The count starts again at the start of each billing period. If you receive more mail than this in a billing period, we may charge an overage fee for each extra piece.

We set these limits above what most small and medium businesses receive. You do not need to know in advance how much mail you will get. If you often receive more than the limit, contact us to discuss a price for a higher volume.

Junk mail does not count. We filter out obvious junk, such as flyers and brochures, and leave it out of your count.

When several items arrive together in one outer envelope, we upload and count each item separately. We then mark the outer envelope as shredded.

3. Scan size

We cannot scan a document or envelope larger than 8.5 × 14 inches (216 × 356 mm).

One scan can have up to 1,000 pages. We cannot scan a document with more pages than that, and we cannot scan bound books.

We do not accept magazines.

4. Packages

A package can weigh up to 25 pounds (11.3 kg) and measure up to 2 × 2 × 2 feet (61 × 61 × 61 cm). We usually return a larger or heavier package to the sender.

We cannot accept:

  • Perishable items, such as food or flowers. Our facility is not equipped for food, and we dispose of perishable items that arrive.
  • Items that must stay cold, such as some medications.
  • Alcohol or THC.
  • Cash on delivery (COD) packages. We refuse them at delivery, and the carrier returns them to the sender. We cannot pay for an incoming shipment on your behalf.
  • Weapons or weapon accessories. We do not process, store or ship them. We return them to the sender or discard them.
  • Hazardous materials of any kind, for the safety of our mail team. We safely dispose of any package that contains them.

5. Storage deadline

We keep all physical mail at our facility for 30 days. Each item in your Mail Room shows the date we will shred its paper. To keep the paper, ship it to yourself from your Mail Room before that date. After that date we shred the paper, and the scan stays in your Mail Room.

6. Use above the limits

We will tell you when your use goes over the limits in this policy. We may stop the mailing service for any account whose use goes over its limits, looks abusive, or puts an unreasonable load on our service.
